Every institution has a reason for existence. The founders and those who continued the work must have had a vision for what is. The following is a brief historical and contemporary look at Emmanuel Bible College.
HISTORY - Founded in 1961 by Dr. Edward Schade, Emmanuel Bible College began as an inspiration from God to provide training to those who feel called to the Christian Ministry. The primary goal of Emmanuel is to be true to the Word of God, standing on the fundamentals of our faith.
WHO HAS BENEFITED - For over 45 years, Emmanuel has poured into the lives and ministries of hundreds of students. These students came from every gender, race, and socio-economic background. Many of these students have since gone into full-time Christian Service. Emmanuel has been a part of transforming believers into stronger men and women of faith and leaders, thus impacting a generation of churches across the southeast. Alumni of Emmanuel Bible College have gone on to become missionaries, pastors, teachers, evangelists, music ministers, and workers in every field of God's Kingdom.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Emmanuel seeks to develop a graduate who has confronted himself or herself on an individual basis, and is aware of his or her values and commitment, including a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Once a student has started on the path of higher Christian education at EBC, they can find courses of study in the curriculum offered by Emmanuel that will lead to undergraduate and grduate studies, which might lead to earned degrees.
HOW WE DESCRIBE OURSELVES - Emmanuel is faith-related, co-educational, and provides the courses offered as they relate to Biblical ministries. As an independent Bible College, we emphasize the authority of the Bible and Christian Holiness. EBC seeks to meet the needs of those feeling God's call to service, through intense Biblical and Ministry related courses of study.
